We are delighted to welcome you!
Project Unity in Diversity is being developed under the auspices of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations.
Using ‘dialogue’ as the instrument, it aims to increase understanding and cooperation among people of different cultures, faiths and beliefs at the community-grassroots level, but also at the international, UN level.
The project involves establishing networks of Civil Society organisations in each country, presenting Events (Forums and Lectures), planting Peace Gardens and branding Unity in Diversity Cities.
To join the blog, simply register on the “Members” page on this site. To join the civil society network in your country, visit http://www.gdfunityindiversity.org/unaoccivilsociety.htm
We invite you to connect with our members; share experiences, build friendships, create a Unity in Diversity initiative in your city, and make your unique contribution towards a peaceful and safer coexistence.

Dear Mbingno,
When we think about the tension being caused by all the people who have different beliefs, cultures, faiths…. and are traveling around the world, mixing with others, migrating at rates the world has never seen before, then to reach mutual understanding among people of different cultures is a goal worth striving for. It’s not a simple task, but indeed it belongs to all of us!
I congratulate and thank you and all our friends in Cameroon for taking the initiative to establish a Unity in Diversity civil society network, under the umbrella of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. It is an exciting development for all peoples of Cameroon and Africa.
With love,
Peter (Pece) Gorgievski
